Teen Attacks Girl Who Refused His Phone Number.

A 14-year-old boy is under arrest after a video that spread quickly online showed him slamming a 15-year-old girl to the pavement and stomping on her head in East Harlem. The whole thing started around 3:30 p.m. Monday at the busy corner of East 107th Street and Third Avenue, right after school let out.

Police say the boy approached the girl and asked for her number. When she turned him down, he blocked her path in the crosswalk and threatened to knock her out, with one of his friends egging him on. She told him to back off and tried to walk away. That’s when he grabbed her from behind, lifted her up, and threw her down hard onto the sidewalk. He then stomped on her head before walking off.

The girl ended up with a concussion. Emergency crews took her to Harlem Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.

Officers picked up the boy the same day and hit him with assault charges, including second-degree assault. He’s scheduled to appear in Manhattan Family Court on Thursday since he’s a minor. No names have been released because both teens are underage.
