The moment she stepped closer, the tiger in the enclosure didn’t pace like usual.
They said the tigers were predictable.Feed them. Clean their space. Never break routine.
She had done it a hundred times before.
Same corridor. Same cages. Same sound of water splashing against concrete.
Nothing ever went wrong.
Until today.
The moment she stepped closer, the tiger in the enclosure didn’t pace like usual.
It crouched.
Still.
Watching.
Not curious.
Not bored.
Focused.
She frowned, adjusting the hose, telling herself it was nothing. Animals had moods. That’s all.
One mistake and it’s over, they always said.
So she checked the lock.
Twice.
It looked secure.
But looks lie.
The second she turned her back—
There was a metallic snap.
Too quick.
Too quiet.
She didn’t even have time to scream.
The gate burst open with a violent clang, and in a blur of orange and black, the tiger was already on her.
The hose slipped from her hand as she hit the ground hard, the breath knocked out of her chest.
Then came the weight.
Heavy. Crushing.
Claws dug in before her mind could even process what was happening.
She tried to crawl.
Tried to fight.
But predators don’t hesitate.
The corridor filled with a sound no one in that building would ever forget.

Not a roar.
But something worse.
The sound of tearing.
When the cameras finally cut out… the hose was still running.
Water pooling across the floor…
Washing slowly over what was left of her.
One mistake doesn’t give you a second chance.
Would you have noticed the lock?
